I just wanted to thank you again for your crits in prose. They are long, detailed, polite, unrighteous, and often rather funny. You're one of the only frequent critters in there, and one of the only to crit anything of mine. You rescued one of my pieces from sliding into the wayside and I can't say how much I appreciate it. Thank you for being one of the few to take prose seriously and dedicate some real time there! I hope you write another story there soon so I can repay the favor. A serious clap on the back, my friend!

edit: By "few" I don't mean "zero" and I don't mean you guys have gone unnoticed. lil_pygmypossum, Kilgore Trout, Ashersimeon (if you haven't read "the Company Party" you must), Dunc McReil, Dick Morgan, and Kristi who I noticed posting enthusiastic crits without even the obligation of paying off a post. I don't want y'all to think I've passed you over. I just think Matt deserves some props, so let's give them to him.

You're more than welcome Lupin, I was happy to offer some opinions & comments to someone who actually participated beyond posting a piece of his/her own & then feeling put upon to suffer the labor of a perfunctory crit.

I didn't mean to call attention to myself with my '3/1 ratio in prose' post below, but I 'spose you post something like that, that's what's gonna happen like it or not.

Just never could understand why people come down from the poetry forums fully understanding the pffa rules (& not only that an unambiguous sticky @ the top of the page posted by none other than Scavella) & post shit and leave, @ most offering one critique in return. I guess the prose forum doesn't operate on reciprocity. I'm kind of losing interest in posting there myself, fortunately I made the aquaintance of a write I met on another board, & we're willing to help each other.

I used to read & @ least comment on EVERYTHING people posted there. I always felt "what comes around goes around". Ha! Exactly the opposite over there. I'm now @ the point where I don't even waste my time reading, let alone commenting, if it's apparent the poster has no interest in reciprocating @ least even somewhat in the forum. For that reason I probably haven't read some of the stuf you mentioned.

Anyway you're certainly welcome, & your participation in that forum I'm sure will do something to keep things moving.

Well, if you feel you'll abandone the forum I beg you don't lose contact with me. It'd be my pleasure to read your work and crit, should you need me.

Thanks again, Matt!
