more than a twenty dollar hooker.

Ever have some great comeback or snappy remark prepared but never an opportunity to use it?

or as my father would say - 'up and down like a whore's drawers.'

You've gotta love idiomatic English.

On commenting on idiocy:

It's become clear that he knows about as much about ____ as he does about fornicating.

On commenting on infertility:

You'd think that a field so regularly plowed would yield at least one good crop. In truth, I have seen graveyards more fertile than that woman's womb.

Re Harry's quote, it used to be " up and down like a whore's drawers on Saturday night".
Also in the idiom of my childhood home (Lancashire) total idiocy or managerial incapacity was usually described as :
"couldn't organize a piss-up in a brewery" or among the better-educated "an orgy in a brothel".
I love idiomatic English.

On a recent episode of the television quiz The Weakest Link Anne Robinson asked a page 3 model (which means she poses topless) "Is a common saying referred to as idiomatic or idiotic?".

The answer, of course, was "Idiotic". And idiotic.

Antidora, is "orgy in a brothel" more upper class than "piss up in a brewery"? Damn, the upper classes alway do get the more interesting vices.
