As discussed in this Watering Hole thread (http://www.everypoet.org/pffa/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18561), I'd like to thank:
Rachel for her threads on Rhythm and Sound, Lines and Linebreaks, and Careful Reading and Critique
and
Howard for his threads on Figurative Language and Extended Metaphor.
All of the above-mentioned threads have been invaluable in helping me to improve my poetry writing skills (I've still got a ways to go though....). I've incorporated those threads into my own poetry notes so that I can reference them quickly whenever I need to (which is often) and I wanted to extend a big thank you to you both for the wealth of information you have provided.
As I stated in the above link, I've also included you both as a reference source in each of the relevant areas in my notes (there aren't too many people in my immediate social circle who are actually likely to read poetry, or my notes, anytime soon - but if they do, I'd like the credit to go where it's due) and yes, the drinks are on me - just name your poison.
Thank you again.
Scotty (who might actually finish compiling his journal of notes one day...)
