Look. I know I was a bloody poor mod and all, but shouldn't having started the longest active thread at this site ("Triolet", in Challenges, over three years running) get a fella something?

Good bates.

Is that what you were looking for?

Well, bates, I just learned of this species this morning, whilst looking for information on Delphiniums:

Crocosmia

You'll love this little devil! When you see Crocosmia in bloom, the only proper response is "Wow!"

If the flower doesn't suit your taste, bates, well then, "good eye" is the other thing I've been meaning to tell you!

Maybe you could pay poetry.com to make a book of all the triolets and have your photo on the inside front cover. Think how many you'd sell! And with the proceeds, you could buy any watch you wanted.

Great idea, Rob! My photo alone is worth thousands.

And thanks for all the goodies, folks.

Have you checked with the Mods?

Maybe they've got an unclaimed coffee mug, apron or t-shirt they could send your way....

:D

There's something in the mods' lounge that might at one time have been a coffee mug (or a stromatolite) but which has seemingly developed a life of its own and spends its time crawling slowly from one corner to another, singing softly to itself.

It's all yours if you can catch it.

bates, I caught a glimpse of your watch!
But when I tried to snatch it for you, it turned out to be the golden snitch...:D

I have a live trap you can borrow, if you want it and I probably know a rescue organization of some sort that can help you rehabilitate it.

However, if you've got your heart set on a boring old gold watch, may I suggest this: http://www.chicagohs.org/hadc/visuals/artifact/019A17Ar.jpg
