It is, upon another re-reading, quite simply one of the best poems I've come across at General C&C.
(Or perhaps it's only the higher forum poems that get picked? That would make sense I guess.)

We don't have any rule about only higher forum poems being picked, although there is a natural tendency for most of the Picks to come from High or Merciless.

I haven't read that particular poem carefully enough to judge yet. I just thought I'd say - one reason we haven't Picked any poems or crits recently is that we were considering a new process for inducting them and haven't got round to organising it.

Thanks for the reply Harry.
It would be nice to see more poems/crits singled out for mention, but at the same time I guess there's the danger everything gets too competitive. Anyway, I just loved this one poem so much I just had to mention it.
Anyway, thanks again to you and the other mods for doing such a fabulous job here on this site. I'm often away these days (busy on my creative writing course), but it's lovely to be able to come back now and then and still find so much good work still being done. Thank you.
