This whole site is amazingly over structured! Can't you all just relax and realize that poetry is poetry and not ban people from the forums for posting one?

You have been banned from the critical forums in accordance with the announced policy regarding the quality of the critiques offered (http://www.everypoet.org/pffa/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21282&poems). If your critique ability improves considerably with time, you will be allowed back.

I visited that link you sent me. I read everything written on that page. Not one thing that I did was against those rules. Each of the critiques I wrote take me at least 20 minutes. They were created separately, using Microsoft Word for spell checking purposes, and posted at the same time. Each of those critiques were over 4 or 5 lines. Not one rule was broken.

You also posted work that wasn't your own and continued to post substandard work to the higher critical forums after being told not to by a moderator. That's not only grounds for being banned from certain forums, but from the site altogether.
We don't have the time or patience to chase after you. It was your responsibility to check out the site before you decided to participate and then to follow the guidelines. We don't plan to change the site in the near future. If you don't like the structure and the rules, the door is over there.

.....and is the very reason why I deserted a laid-back site in favour of PFFA although it's admittedly not for everyone. But we regulars like it just the way it is.

I'm with her. Anyway, I don't find this site over structured. It's structured, yes but I don't mind. I'm being 'structured' every day, anyway.

look at it like this, Xanadu, you've been granted a challenge from the gold-miners.
I'll bet you'll get the hang of it if you stick around.
