View Full Version : Another question (sorry)

Hello

Sorry to bother everyone. I owe three crits in 'Scansion', but really, honestly don't know enough about metrics to provide useful crits about it. Should I just post general crits in there, or just give it a bash (a scanning crit), explaining that everything I say could well be very wrong? Or can I make up the crits elsewhere on the board?

I'm sorry I'm asking so many questions. I'm not trying to welch out of critting, promise - but I don't want to write useless waffle, and any metrical crit I provide could well be just that. What do people usually do in this circumstance?

(it could be aeons before I know enough about metrics to provide an informed critical analysis of someone else's verse, and yes, I probably shouldn't have posted in Scansion in the first place if I didn't feel up to critting in there, too. Call it newbie-fools-confidence and grim realisation having caught up with me).

You can critique the pieces just as you would any others in other forums, without looking at metrical issues per se.
