Urdo poets?

I have a friend who's writing a paper and she asked me about what a urdo poet is. I tried to help her out but got as far as it having to do with being arabic. I couldn't read much about it however, seeing as it was all IN arabic. If anyone has some random knowledge about what a urdo poet is, I would be grateful and I know she would be very grateful too.
