View Full Version : An interesting divide seems to be occurring

Has anyone else noticed that General C & C has lately been rather full of just-moved-up-from-General type poems and that more experienced writers have migrated to Another General? I was just wondering whether this may not be a time to formalise this divide. Let General C & C become a stepping stone from General Poetry and Another General C & C become the stepping stone to HIgh.

Just a thought cum observation.

And let's count how many angels dance on the head of a pin. ACK! I don't think the (most likely temporary) trend is a trend, just the herd instinct at work.

There comes a point where you have to stop slicing and dicing the place into 1,500 categories--you, you're writing at this level, so move on up from General to General C&C; you, you're now ready for Another General C&C; ok, you, you move on up to High; you, you're in between, so I don't know where the heck you should post. Heh. I'd prefer to keep things a little less formal, thanks, one less headache for the moderators.

Remember, too, that the Generals C&C also allow people to post work they know isn't ready for High yet, but are still working out a few kinks before they post it there. It's not always about whether the writer is ready, but whether a particular piece is.

Donner,

How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?

Harry

I always post to AGenC&C because it moves slower.

That's just creepy.

Seems I got the verbose version.

just the herd instinct at work.

Point taken. A good enough reason to start posting in General C & C, I guess.

3,000, according to Thomas Aquinas. Give or take a few.

Ya, I noticed that too, just lately how the pre-High level poems seem to be migrating into Another C&C. I think it's a good thing that doesn't need to be formally enforced since it is happening naturally on its own w/out further work for the mods. If it ain't broke...

Are we talking fat angels, or thin?

And why are some of my red dots bigger than others??

While we are on the subject of rejigging the forums, I think Erotic should be subdivided into

General Erotic
The self-abuse caboose
The fellatio patio
The leaky spooner

Monk.

Were the angels dancing on pins? How lovely. I always thought the angels were just standing around on them. I'll have to go and look it up.

Haaaaaaaaaaaa. But you forget the 'Not Erotic but says orgasm/fuck/penis somewhere' sub-sub-sub category. And the:

'This is erotic, but I'm trying so hard not to be crude that actually it's all about a gravy boat.' category.

Good erotic poetry must be really, really difficult to write, though.

I wrote a good erotic poem once - John Boddie said so, so it must be true.

Are these angels African or European? Donner would know.
