Hi,

I'm Arden, but most of you must have gathered that from my oh so unique ID there... heh. I'm new to the PFFA, and I'm glad to have found a place like this. It seems all the people here are genuinely wanting to help people like me (the amateur poet who thinks he can write) actually be able to write a little better :)

First and foremost, Arden is NOT (and let me repeat this again... absolutely NOT) a female name. I am male :p (But don't hold that against me women! heh) I came here to take the next step I need to improve something I consider a passion of mine, writing. (albeit a somewhat footloose and fancy free passion... cliche alert cliche alert!) I have noticed that I have absolutely no aptitude in critiquing my own works, I think everything I write is golden (hehehehehehehehehe) but I do have a knack at trying to dissect others' works (atleast I think I do). So that is why I am here, to get into the mindset where I CAN critique and edit my own works close enough to where maybe one day I can get one or two works published, and maybe one day people can remember me or something... heh, it's just a dream... :)

I'm going to apologize right now for my horrible writing, and continue to the General and C&C forums again and see how much chaos I can cause ;)

BTW, I have to applaud the amount of knowledge contained on this site in all the threads, especially in the Blurbs of Wisdom and in the stickies... extremely helpful information, a lot NO ONE has ever told me, but you will notice I don't catch the cliche ridden ideas and abstractions I use in my writings, so bare with me :)

Oh btw, Hi again :)

Arden

Hello and welcome to Pffa!

Looks like you are doing the right thing by reading the blurbs and stickies right away.

Since you are a chap I shall decline your kind offer to bare with you!

Regards,

Monk.
