Hello. I'll try and keep this short, because, well, I'm at work, and I should be debugging code.
I've been writing poetry for the last 8 years on and off, and despite a year long hiatus, have been feeling that I need to get back into the saddle. I've been looking for something online, which allows/offers good strong criticism for a while, and hopefully, this should be it.
My poetry tends towards "performance" poetry, but this is mainly because I try and keep my words understandable and enjoyable. The subject matters I tend towards are conversational and small scale. I've been told that a parody of my work would be ...
They thought they'd be married for ever... They divorced the next year.
which I thought was pretty unfair, but hugely funny.
ermmm. Yeah - what else. I have a couple of poetry websites of my own (won't tell you what they are), I'm more a nerd than a poet, I'm 35, I'm male.
I'm tempted to tell you my favourite band, but this isn't a school disco, and I haven't just drunk half a pint of cider and black.
Anyway, that's me.
Thank's for listening.
