I was recently moved to tears by a poem Mark Doty wrote entitled “Faith (http://www.poemhunter.com/p/m/poem.asp?poet=6772&poem=33677)”; up to this point I’d never been moved emotionally, to such an extent, by a poem. Even as I reread it yesterday in the computer lab whilst surrounded by peers, fighting off tears still proved to be a difficult task. I would love to hear someone else’s opinion of “Faith”–maybe even read some poems that others find/found exceptionally moving

"Faith" is simply the first part of the multi-part poem "Atlantis" (http://eir.library.utoronto.ca/rpo/display/poem695.html) which is the central work of Doty's volume Atlantis that deals largely with the death from AIDS of Doty's long-time companion Wally Roberts.
