View Full Version : Litter pick nomination
I was quite impressed with LauraJ's crit of obsurity's poem in High C. (see link below) That the poet did not acknowledge this stupendous effort is amazing to me.
In true teaching mode, she succinctly pointed out the poem's deficiencies and strengths, and gave the poet much to work with on revision.
Her crit deserves recognition IMHO.

Good pick Kate, I whole-heartedly agree. Laura's been doing some fine work around the forums.

(trying not to blush. Ok, no, I'm blushing)
Wow & thanks, Kate, Heidi & Donner!. Sometimes, when critiquing, I've felt I've been "troubling deaf heaven with my bootless cries" (as Shakespeare states), because of the fact that many posters reply with personal emails or even posts requesting that I back off.
I think that even if the authors of the pieces do not garner any real help, it will help others see what mistakes can be made, and that's the whole point of everything, right?
I was blown away to venture into "Picks" today and see my crit.
Thanks again!
Laura
