In the past few days, we have had people posting plagiarized work to the Poetry Free for All. This pisses me off. Threatening to cancel the offending parties' posting privileges is evidentally not a strong enough deterrant. If and when the moderators have the time, these plagiarized poems will be forwarded to the legitimate owners of the works in question, or to the publication in which the poems originally appeared. We will also be able to provide the email address, and (more importantly) the IP number of the computer from which these gross insults to the publishing world originated.
I can not stress strongly enough how totally wrong this little shellgame is, and how serious the consequences can be. I hope someone with deep pockets and a copyright lawyer on retainer gets as upset as I am right now, and nails some of you to the wall. Isps will divulge the personal information of their clients when they are presented with a subpeona or a court order.
As if we all have enough spare time to deal with this sort of horseshit.
